Roca Folletera
A geological treasure
Located in the heart of the Cardó mountain range, a short distance from the picturesque town of Benifallet, the Roca Folletera is one of the most impressive natural treasures of the Baix Ebre region. This unique place attracts visitors for its majesty and for the legends surrounding its history. Roca Folletera is distinguished by its peculiar shape, with steep walls and an imposing appearance. The rock formation is reminiscent, by its configuration, of the pipes of an organ, hence the name "Penya dels Orguins". Its variegated veins, ranging from white to reddish, reflect the centuries of geological processes that have shaped this place. Roca Folletera is not only a natural attraction but also surrounded by local legends. It is said that in the past, the area was a meeting point for those seeking refuge from invaders or for smugglers who used the hidden corners of the rock to store their goods. These stories have given Roca Folletera an air of mystery and fascination that still endures today. Penya dels Orguins offers multiple options for nature and adventure lovers. Hikers and hikers can enjoy the EBRO NATURAL PATH TO MIRAVET from where they take the detour to Les Talaies, which will take them to the foot of the rock, from where they can enjoy spectacular views of the valley and the surrounding landscapes. The routes are suitable for various levels of difficulty, making them accessible to families and experienced adventurers alike.
