The history of Benifallet is reflected in its ancient river routes and bridle paths, which have given way to modern roads such as the C-12 and C-43 roads, connecting us to the rest of Catalonia. The greenway Via Verda, a former railway line, is now a path for cyclists and pedestrians, while the Pont del Llaguter, inaugurated in 1992, allows you to cross the Ebro more easily, but less charmingly, than by boat.

Did you know that El Foraster, the TV3 program, recorded two episodes in Benifallet? It was an incredible experience where presenter Quim Masferrer discovered the most special corners of our town.
The day Quim came to record in Benifallet, no episode had aired and no one knew what the program would consist of. Everything that came out in the first episode of the first season was only part of the handful of stories he discovered while walking those three days through our town, full of life at that time of year.
The inhabitants of Benifallet shared our stories and sense of humor with the journalist, leaving him with the difficult task of deciding which ones would be included in what would end up being the first episode of the program.
Many people were talking the day after the broadcast about whether everything was ready, and what a coincidence that at the very moment he was in the river those children were catching a catfish, for example. These are people who have never walked through the streets of the town in spring or summer; streets full of people, full of life, especially the riverbank, where the youngest and oldest usually spend their hot afternoons. The first fishing and the others in the shade of the mulberry trees.
Without a doubt, these chapters are a window into the authenticity and friendliness of our people. Don’t miss them if you’re thinking of visiting Benifallet!
